New MDs at Johnston titles

New managing directors have been appointed at two of Johnston Press's newspaper companies.

Nick Mills is now managing director at the Yorkshire Weekly Newspaper Group, and was previously managing director of Wilfred Edmunds Ltd.

In his new role Nick will be responsible for 11 paid-for and seven free titles, including the Wakefield Express, Morley Advertiser, Ossett & Horbury Observer and Pontefract & Castleford Express.

Replacing Nick at Wilfred Edmunds Ltd is Mark Rodgers, who was previously assistant managing director at Sheffield Newspapers Ltd.

Mark's new role brings responsibility for paid-for titles the Derbyshire Times, Buxton Advertiser, Matlock Mercury, Ilkeston Advertiser and Ripley and Heanor News, plus a host of free newspapers.
