Unless a buyer can be found within three months, South Chard Post Office will close, leaving no local alternative for customers.

Novelist and broadcaster Libby Purves, historical novelist Diana Norman and food and travel writer Clarissa Hyman will be the special guests at the next Bristol Evening Post Literary Lunch.
It will take place on Friday May 30 and is part of a season to boost Bristol's European Capital of Culture bid.

The Eastern Daily Press has launched Archant's first music CD for public consumption.
The CD, Guide#1, was put together by Event, the newspaper's listings magazine, to celebrate its second birthday, and promoted some of the musical talent in the region.

Fund-raisers and RSPCA staff are celebrating at the news that the Derby Evening Telegraph's Save Our Shelter campaign has raised its £100,000 target.
The 130-year-old shelter needed the cash to continue its work rescuing and rehoming animals.

The Evening Press in York has joined forces with the local Cancer Research charity to launch a scheme to boost its work in the area.
Eight firms of solicitors in York have joined them to offer 500 residents the chance to have a will drawn up free of charge - and have the opportunity to make provision for the charity in what they leave.
