Issues such as wages, media freedom and equality are to be discussed at the National Union of Journalists annual conference next month.
The annual delegate meeting will be attended by around 200 delegates from NUJ branches in Britain, Ireland and Continental Europe, at the North Wales Conference Centre in Llandudno between April 3 and 6.
They will debate an agenda of 176 motions submitted by their branches and by other union bodies, but only branch delegates can vote.
The motions will cover conference matters; trade union rights; finance; relations with other bodies; wages, payments and conditions; membership; organisation; media freedom; government policies; training; ethics; international; health and safety - and equality.
Many of the debates will take place in the context of the Strategic Review into the union's future, put forward last year by general secretary Jeremy Dear.
The conference also elects the union's president, vice-president and treasurer, voluntary officers who are working journalists on the National Executive Council.
