A new monthly golfing newspaper for the South West has been launched by Newsquest.

The South West Golfer is an all-colour news-based monthly that will be available both in print and online, and complement the publisher's well-established South Wales Golfer.

Its formula of news, reviews, stories and features will be targeted at more than 30,000 golfers.

It will be distributed to almost 200 golf clubs throughout the South West, including Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Herefordshire, Devon and Dorset, along with selected golf retail outlets, hotels and motor dealerships.

Well-known and respected golf journalist Peter Godsiff has been appointed editor of the new publication.

He has an extensive knowledge the South West golf scene and has been writing for regional and national titles for 40 years.
