Brain tumour sufferer Caroline MacDonald had a dream come true when the Extra in Scotland fixed for her to meet Fame Academy winner David Sneddon.
Caroline, (21), contacted the Archant Central Scotland publication, which is David's local paper, in hope she could meet her idol - and the pop star called her and arranged for her to come and see him perform.

Barrie, who became well-known in the world of sports and entertainment marketing, joined the Times after graduating from Leeds University, before moving to the Herald, and eventually the BBC.
