Whose pants would you rather see - Linford's or Stan's?

Question: What does the deputy editor of the Bristol Evening Post have in common with Linford Christie, Gareth Gates and Sean Bean?

Not much you might think, but, like his more well-known counterparts, people are trying to get their hands on Stan Szecowka's pants!

Stan is hoping his briefs will be hot property as they go up for auction alongside Linford's, Gareth's and Sean's in aid of the Bristol Cancer Help Centre.

The Clifton-based charity is currently taking bids for its Star Draws auction, where people can place a bid for a celebrity's personalised pants.

Stan said: "They will probably not raise as much money as the famous athlete, or as singing star Gareth Gates, for that matter, as supporters rush to get their filthy paws on the stars' draws, but every little helps.

"I'm just hoping my supportive readers will make sure that I do not end up too far down in the pecking order and at least challenge the likes of gruesome Graham Norton and Gary Lineker in the fund-raising stakes."

Each pair of celebrity pants has a reserve price of £50, and will be sold to the highest bidders as of 5pm on Friday, February 14, when the Star Draws auction will close.

To see a picture Stan's 'brief' offering, along with those of more than 50 other celebrities, visit www.bristolcancerhelp.org.
