Plymouth Evening Herald reporter Mary O'Leary went back to her school days when she went to check out a retro disco night.
The city's Destiny nightclub holds a weekly "Skool Daze" night where partygoers dress up in school uniform and dance to the sounds of the 80s.
And Mary stuck to these criteria as she took colleagues Jayne Freer and Katie Tokus to go out and feel 16 again...
She said: "The preparations began as I got dressed up to go, and I spent a happy half hour ringing my eyes with black kohl for the first time in 10 years and twisting my hair into bunches.
"The man in my life drove me to collect my best mate, all the while uttering nostalgic, dad-like phrases like: 'What time does this thing finish anyway?'
"I felt the years slide away until I was once again the stroppy adolescent eager to sink pints of cider and black and moan about my parents."
The night is very popular among students and as the night came to a close, Mary began to feel her age once more.
"It was all great fun, the only down side being that we felt ten times older than most of the crowd, who all looked suspiciously like they had come straight from school."
But this didn't dampen the reporter's spirits and she left raring to do the jitterbug again another day.
"I fully intend to go back (and hand over my Now 4 album to the DJ)."
