A new online version of the Brentwood Gazette has been launched.

Thisisbrentwood.co.uk contains news and sport from all the Gazette editions, including Brentwood, Billericay and Wickford, Ongar and Harold.

The website is part of the larger portal This is Essex, which already has sites for Colchester, Chelmsford, Basildon, Southend and Thurrock and is jointly owned by Gazette publishers Newsquest Essex and Northcliffe.

This is Essex web editor Mark Whiting said: "I hope the new website will be very successful. It will deliver news, sport and other information online."

News and sport for the websites is provided by 20 local newspapers across Essex, together with details of jobs, cars and homes for sale and an extensive what's on guide.
