The agony aunt for a regional evening newspaper had died after a long fight with cancer.
Vicky Maud, of the Worcester Evening News, touched the hearts and lives of thousands of readers in her role as agony aunt and counsellor.
Her work also took her to the Third World, where she spoke on drug abuse prevention.
Her husband Ken paid tribute, saying: "She took her work very seriously and there was not one letter that she did not give a lot of time and caring thought to.
"She really did care, whatever the problem, however small."
He said she gave most of her time to work and expected very little back in return.
In accordance with the family's wishes, the four Dear Vicky pages already compiled and prepared will be published.
