A newspaper columnist has revived wartime memories in her new book about life in a south Devon resort.
Herald Express writer Viv Wilson has concentrated on the personal accounts of ordinary people caught up in the drama of World War II.
Teignmouth At War 2 is a sequel to her previous book and the launch event brought together many of the elderly contributors to see where their pictures and memories fitted in to the finished work.
One of them, Pauline Seaton, (77), said: "The books which Viv has researched and compiled so well are historical documents.
"The new one is just as good as the last and I love all the photos of the people and the town, some of whom I had forgotten."
Teignmouth was the most heavily bombed town in the South West for its size, and there were hundreds of casualties, which meant the war had a greater impact than in some other Westcountry towns.
