Industry experts tour Evening Post

Printing experts from around Europe received a guided tour of the Reading Evening Post's production facilities during an industry meeting in the town.

Members of the Goss European Users Association visited the Evening Post to see the paper's new press and expanded production facilities at its Tessa Road base.

Recent investments by Surrey and Berkshire Newspapers have included a new Goss Colorliner 70 newspaper press, pre-press equipment by Agfa and mailroom equipment supplied by IDAB Wamac.

The tour was part of the association's two-day meeting at the Renaissance Hotel in Reading, which attracted 90 delegates from European newspapers and supplier companies.

The Goss European Users Association, which meets annually, allows the sharing of ideas among owners of newspaper press systems made by Goss International, a global supplier of printing presses.
