The Future Events News Service has launched a new service to focus specifically on Wales.
The company collates events and key dates to give leads for news providers across the UK, and labels itself 'Britain's national diary news service'.
The new report to cover the principality is being edited by Matt Williamson, the former FENS UK national editor.
He said: "This is a great opportunity and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I have for a long time believed that Wales needed its own diary news service, and now I am launching it."
He said the report would be the mirror image of the FENS General UK Report, covering all the diary news events the media needed to know about, including court dates, national assembly meetings, royal activities in Wales, major entertainment and sporting events, big council meetings and other events.
He said: "Every event that goes in will either be happening in Wales or be a national or international story with a strong Welsh angle. We have also introduced a Welsh language element by listing the categories and place names in Welsh and English.
"The national newspapers and broadcasters have had the benefit of the FENS UK Report for 16 years and now it is time to extend the benefits of a first class diary news service to the Welsh Media."
The FENS portfolio includes a European World Report, UK Entertainment Report, UK Business Report, South and Central Asia Report and Asia-Pacific Report.
It was started in 1987 in the back bedroom of Tom Arms, the former diplomatic correspondent for Thomson Regional Newspapers, and now employs nearly 50 people in six countries.
