The Scunthorpe Target is celebrating its 1000th edition.

To mark the 'grand' milestone, the paper has produced a special supplement looking back at some of the news and sports events covered on its pages and has also spoken to some of its former staff whose careers it has helped to launch.

The Target made its debut to more than 45,000 homes and businesses in Scunthorpe on Thursday, July 14, 1983.
