New kid on the block

It's official - Newcastle Evening Chronicle editor Paul Robertson is the New Kid on the Block!

Paul has been declared the New Kid on the Block in the Alternative Business Awards 2002 held recently at the Newcastle Opera House.

He was delighted to be the recipient of this award, and said: "It was an excellent evening of fun with many tongue-in-cheek awards accepted in good spirit.

"It is very important for a newspaper to have strong relationships with all parts of the community and I am flattered to win an award which is apparently for quickly making an impression on the business scene."

The Alternative Business Awards are organised by The Sponsors Club for Arts and Business and sponsored by local companies.
