Police have issued a fresh plea for information after the body of former journalist Lorraine Turner was found at her home in Norwich by her two young children.

The 37-year-old died from head injuries and Norfolk police have launched a murder investigation.

Lorraine worked as a journalist for Eastern Counties Newspapers, now Archant, in the late 1980s before becoming a press officer at Norwich City Football Club in 1989.

She was briefly married to BBC producer Ian Jolly in the mid-1980s and had her two children with former partner Steve Rocastle.

Detective Inspector Sarah Francis said: "We have had a steady stream of calls into the incident room with various information, but we are still very keen to hear from anyone who knew Lorraine and the places she frequented.

"The last confirmed sighting was Tuesday, August 13, and we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen her since then."

She was found dead on Saturday.

Tributes have been paid to Lorraine from people who knew all around the country.

Carole Cole, assistant editor (news) of the Birmingham Evening Mail, trained as a journalist with her at Darlington College of Technology. She said: "She was quite an emotional person, but really bright and bubbly and was very caring and friendly."

Lynne Johnson, chief sub-editor of the Norwich Evening News, said: "She was a cheerful, bubbly girl and although she had some problems in her life, she would do anything for anybody."
