Thirty members of staff at Newsquest Oxfordshire are being offered a one-day workshop by the Art Room charity - during work hours.
Staff will have the chance to have a go at some basic artistic techniques using household objects such as clocks, chessboards and lampshades.
They will get to grips with skills such as include gold leaf and glazing - just like on TV's Changing Rooms.
Earlier this year, The Oxford Times helped the Art Room raise enough money to establish a class at Oxford School for children at risk of expulsion from school.
The charity uses art therapy to try and help disadvantaged youngsters.
As part of that campaign The Oxford Times and the Art Room successfully applied for money from the Government's Arts and Business fund.
The charity is now offering the workshops as part of that project and as a thank-you to NQO staff.
Three separate workshops will take place in October, November and February.
