Mail men on the move

Andy Chatfield has been appointed deputy editor of the Oxford Mail and Oxford Star.

Andy, who is 37 and has held the post of assistant editor since September, will have responsibility for production and digital media, in addition to his role as deputy to editor Jim McClure.

He formerly worked at the Mail and its associated titles as digital media editor, leisure editor, magazines and supplements editor and lifestyle editor. He was previously features editor at the Bucks Free Press.

Two assistant editors for the papers have also been appointed.

They are John Chipperfield, MBE, (58), who has been news editor since May, 1980, and community editor, Peter Unsworth, (63).
