Former Aberdeen Journals distribution manager Jackie Sutherland has died.

He was 76 and had been suffering from heart problems.

He joined Aberdeen Journals after leaving school in 1939 and spent his entire working life with the company.

He worked his way up from publishing room assistant to distribution manager before retiring 17 years ago.

He is survived by his son John and daughter Gwen.
