Aberdeen Journals worker Alex Cormack has been commended after completing 30 years service with the company.
Alex, pre-press production manager for the Press and Journal, was presented with a long-service award from managing director Alan Scott.
During the special presentation he was praised for his dedication to the job and was presented with a gold watch.
Alex, (55), joined the company in 1972 as a compositor in the production department, where his job was to make up the newspaper pages for the original hot-metal presses.
Alex said: "One of the best things about doing this job is that it is always changing and always evolving. It has remained a challenge since I started and that is what has made me stay."
Managing director Alan added: "I wish everyone in the company had the same dedication to the job that Alex has demonstrated over the years.
"This is a superb achievement, and one he should be proud of, and I hope to be in a position where I can hand out many more of these awards in the years to come."
