The Portsmouth News was able to carry a dramatic half-page picture of a teenage knife attack victim after winning permission from the courts.
The paper successfully applied for a court order protecting the identity of Sheree Lockyer's attacker to be lifted - and at the same time secured permission to show a photo of Sheree and her facial scarring that needed more than 100 stitches.
It is the second court victory for The News in as many weeks, after joining the police and city council in a bid to allow a teenage terror who committed 125 crimes in four years to be named and shamed.
In the latest backgrounder, reporter Andrew Levy based his full-page article around Sheree and her attacker to tell the story of how a school row ended in violence and ruined two lives.
Would-be model Sheree, (14), is now scarred for life and the 16-year-old girl who wounded her in an argument that turned into a fight was ordered to complete two years at a detention centre for grievous bodily harm, which she admitted in court.
