Cheeky Croydon Post staff have launched their own Rear of the Year contest after the success of the national version which awarded teenage singer Charlotte Church the title.

Readers have been quick to let the contest capture their imagination and have been sending in their snaps in the hope of winning a prize.

Each week the paper has been publishing a selection of the most cracking curves and overall winners will be judged at the end of the contest.

Reporter Susie Rowe said: "We are on a mission to find our borough's best bottoms.

"We have been asking men and women who think they have a superior Post-erior to send in a photo of their best asset, fully-clothed of course."

Winners will get a bottle of bubbly from… Bottom's Up.
