Photographer dies in car accident

A photographer who began his career on a regional weekly paper in London has been killed in a car accident.

David Butler had been on a trip to visit family when his vehicle was involved in an accident on Monday April 29.

The 27-year-old Fleet Street photographer had been travelling alone and there was no other vehicle involved in the accident in Sutherland, Scotland.

David began his career on The Wharf, the weekly free newspaper for Canary Wharf.

Wharf editor Toby Granville said: "David was a true pro, who always went the extra mile to get a great shot. It is a tragedy for the industry. Our thoughts go out to his family."
