Floored by right hook from a psychic

A reporter from The Sentinel has been floored by what he labelled "a mystical right hook" from a psychic who seemed to know all about him from 200 miles away - on the end of a telephone.

John Woodhouse said: "When Yvette Tamara offered me a phone reading I was somewhat dubious, to say the least.

"But I am nothing, if not open to new experiences, so I took the other-worldly plunge."

The only thing she asked him directly was his age - and this is how their conversation went.

The name Paul features large in your life
- it's my middle name.

There is a December link
- my birthday's December 12.

I can see a female with long blonde hair
- my fiancée.

She has got lots of ideas and can be a bit impatient
- yep, that's her.

You'll be looking at old collectible cars
- the wedding car fits the bill.

You shall be crossing water in May
- This was the whammy! We are honeymooning in Shetland, via ferry from Aberdeen in May.

He wrote: "It was the knockout blow. There was no way round it. I had been floored by a psychic right hook. There had been no fishing for information, no chucking of several names into the hart before the right one came up.

"Just straight facts garnered merely from a 200-mile phone call.

"So how does she do it?"

"'Your voice,' said the psychic.

"'I can find where you are in life. Obviously it's harder down the phone but mediumship is something which grows with experience.'"

John interviewed Yvette Tamara in the run-up to her appearance on stage at the Victoria Hall, Hanley.
