Exhibition marks life of journalist Bell

A former newspaper columnist and author is having his life honoured in an exhibition that is due to run for two months.

Adrian Bell, formerly of the Eastern Daily Press, died in 1980 and the exhibition, in Beccles, is to mark the centenary of his birth.

The show, attended by more than 100 people, was part of a series of events to mark his life, and included a tribute organised by the Adrian Bell Society, with a showing of archive film, and talks and presentations from his son, the former BBC correspondent Martin Bell, his niece Jenny Bell and nephew Peter Bell.

Future events include a tour of his old school in July.
