The News, Portsmouth, has expanded its local news service with the launch of a new section.
Neighbourhood News will bring readers more of the news that matters to them every day, delving further into the hearts of communities in the town.
The project involves a whole army of newly recruited correspondents, and is a commitment by the paper to provide a platform for readers' voices to be heard.
Thirty correspondents will gather news from all over the paper's circulation area.
One of the new correspondents, for Southsea and Old Portsmouth, is Sue Stokes, a project and communications officer.
She said: "I think the concept of Neighbourhood News is really positive for all communities in the Portsmouth area and will ensure that more people get the recognition they deserve."
