The Llanelli Star has produced a 28-page stand-alone special as part of the countdown to the Heineken European Cup rugby semi-final between Llanelli and Leicester.

Llanelli, nicknamed The Scarlets, play Leicester at Nottingham's City Ground on Sunday, April 28.

An estimated 12,000 fans will be travelling north for the game.

"It's a massive game for the club and a major event for the town of Llanelli," Star Editor Robert Lloyd said.

"Our special, called The Scarlets in Europe, contains all the details of the club's adventures in Europe from the start of the tournament in 1995."

The special is on sale at just 10p.

"Nine thousand have been printed and they are selling well as the excitement builds to a match which will be a record 29,500 sell-out," added Robert.
