Gallery named after MEN

A new art gallery has been named after the Manchester Evening News.

The MEN Exhibitions Gallery has been added to the city's Art Gallery, which re-opens next month after a makeover costing £35m.

As a major sponsor of the venue, the MEN is launching a new corporate patrons scheme dubbed "Manchester's newest and most exciting business club."

MEN editor Paul Horrocks said: "It is wonderful that the business community have such faith in this major new arts facility for Manchester.

"I have such strong faith in what the gallery will do for the city that the Manchester Evening News have committed to a major sponsorship deal to support the MEN Exhibitions Gallery."

The scheme funds work with youngsters and people with difficult backgrounds from around the city, and is offering a whole range of benefits to its supporters.
