The Belfast Telegraph has appointed a new London Editor.

Brian Walker will represent the Telegraph in London and report on Westminster and major issues in Britain.

Commenting on the new appointment, Edmund Curran, editor of the Belfast Telegraph, said: "He is a journalist who understands Northern Ireland, with a distinguished record of reporting and broadcasting locally and also as a senior editor and manager for the BBC at national level."

Brian began his career with BBC Northern Ireland as a news reporter and has also worked as a presenter and political editor.

He has held several senior management and editing positions for BBC Current Affairs radio programmes and has wide experience of Westminster.
