Devon titles merge

Two newspapers in the south-west have merged to meet prevailing trading conditions.

The East Devon and Exmouth Admag, which already incorporates East Devon News, is now included within the Midweek Herald.

Publishing company CML is merging titles in Exeter and North Devon to adjust to the current market.

In addition, Farming Review will no longer be published in its present tabloid format but will now be merged with the Agricultural Trader.

CML Devon regional director Bob Priddle said: "No members of staff will be made redundant in either Exeter or North Devon as a result of this change. Customers will be offered a new service within the merged title."
