Circulation boosted by 1,000

Recent figures show the four newspapers in the Brentwood Gazette Series have increased their readership by more than 1,000 readers in the past year.

The Brentwood Gazette, the Billericay and Wickford Gazette, the Ongar and North Weald Gazette and the Harold Gazette have upped their readership by 1,101, an increase of 1.9 per cent.

Jicreg research shows the readership of the Gazette is now 58,627.

  • Readership for the Essex Chronicle, the Gazette’s sister paper, has also increased.

    The Jicreg figures show that the combined weekly readership is now 185,725, up by 2.7 per cent.

    This means that two newspapers have increased their readership by 4,359 in just a year.
