A new Internet travel site has been launched by Associated New Media,with backing from the Daily Mail, Evening Standard and Metro newspapers.

Thistravel.co.uk joins ANM's network of four marketleading sites femail.co.uk, This is London, This is Money and UK Plus andgoes "live" next month.

It will provide independent advice and information to help UK internetusers plan their holidays from start to finish.

The company sees Thisistravel as a comprehensive research tool withdestination guides to over 70 countries. It will also include independentreviews of thousands of hotels and apartments and constantly-updated holidayideas - all written by specialist journalists exclusively for the site.

Flights, hotels and car hire will be available through the Online TravelCompany and users will benefit from a vast array of late holiday deals fromTeletext holidays, another DMGT group company.

From April, travelAds, a comprehensive database of classified traveladvertising, will also be available.
