Beehive gateway spans four counties

A new Internet gateway has been created to allow easy access to all four Midlands Beehive community networks.

midlandsbeehive.co.uk will carry news on all four networks - for Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Staffordshire - and the way they can provide free, easy-to-update website for non-profit making groups and organisations.

It also gives an easy way for visitors to move between the sites, carries contacts for all the Beehive staff locally and will give a chance to throw the spotlight on some of the best sites in the regions.

Project manager Elaine Pritchard said: "It also provides another platform for current sponsors like the Derbyshire and Leek United building societies to promote their valued support."

The new site also give an easy url to promote across all four counties.

  • One initiative the Beehive staff are launching this year is a competition for the best sites in the Midlands. They are hoping to attract competition sponsors with advertising on the new site.
