Visitors double after relaunch

The Yorkshire Post is celebrating the success of its website, which has seen the number of visitors double since its relaunch earlier this year.

Statistics compiled by Regional Interactive Media, which operates the website on behalf of the Yorkshire Post, showed a 100 per cent increase in users between May and October.

The figures follow significant investment in the site, which has seen a major overhaul including an improved breaking news service, and searchable archive.

The site also has a new business channel, and a revamped entertainment channel featuring a comprehensive what's on guide for Yorkshire.

Marlen Roberts, managing director of Regional Interactive Media said: "The tremendous growth in traffic is a fantastic achievement that reflects the level of investment in new services for the site.

"We will be further enhancing the site with exciting new developments over coming months."
