Festivities begin online

Christmas has arrived early at four regional papers in the Lincolnshire area, which have launched the new website, ThisisChristmas.

The website, from the Grimsby Telegraph, Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph, Hull Daily Mail and Lincolnshire Echo features a winter wonderland of ideas and advice to help readers survive the festive period.

The interactive site has something to interest all the family, and kids can even e-mail Santa and receive a letter back - if he's not too busy!

There are gift ideas, shop opening times and money off vouchers, along with a Christmas countdown to help readers prepare as the weeks unfold.

The site also provides help for those still trying to plan their Christmas parties, who can take a look at the Christmas menus offered by local restaurants, and find tips on how to look their best over the festivities.

Readers can also take a look back at the origins of Christmas, and find out more about some of the traditions such as mince pies, mistletoe and crackers.

To get in the festive mood, visit the site here.
