The Bath Chronicle's website Thisisbath has recorded its highest weekly total of page impressions since it was launched three years ago.

Last week it achieved a record 88,758 page impressions - 16,000 higher than the previous record total achieved in April.

Year on year growth shows that use of the site has more than doubled.

Eric Rayner, electronic publishing manager at Northcliffe Electronic Publishing, is delighted by the site's success.

He said: "We're now quite clearly the largest internet site offering news and information about Bath.

"With a large number of improvements due to be made to the platform later this year, the site will go from strength to strength.

"We're now looking at breaking the 100,000 barrier."
