Two new websites have been added to the Manchester Online network run by Guardian Media Group.

Stockportexpress.co.uk and Rochdaleobserver.co.uk offer news and sport headlines with content being sourced daily from the newspapers.

The sites also provide users with access to the Fish4 network and to other channels within Manchester Online.

The initial statistical returns from both sites show encouraging results with visitor duration lasting an average of five minutes per visit.

More local newspapers from the group are expected to follow the lead of the Stockport Express and the Rochdale Observer, helping create what the company sees as being the digital link with the Greater Manchester community.
