'It's good to talk' says Examiner

A Huddersfield paper is hoping to bring people closer together through the Internet.

A number of new features are being introduced to the Huddersfield Examiner's web site, ichuddersfield.co.uk, to increase communication between readers.

Users can now access a chat room, an e-mail service and even create their own web site - all free of charge.

Other new sections are a discussion board and a calendar where users can post forthcoming social events.

Content developer Julian Pratt said: "We want people to use the web site to keep in touch with their friends and make new ones.

"These services should help bring people together and help keep the Examiner at the heart of the Huddersfield community."
