The special guest at the Huddersfield Examiner's Literary Luncheon this year is the charismatic cricket umpire David Shepherd.
He recently umpired the fourth Ashes Test Match between England and Australia at Headingly - and will return to Yorkshire for the newspaper's special event in October.
The other top table guests will be revealed shortly and will include a line-up of celebrity speakers.
Previous guests at the event, organised in association with the local Arts Council, have included TV quizmaster Magnus Magnusson, former deputy leader of the Labour Party Roy Hattersley and author David Nobbs.
