Nearly 30,000 people turned out for Yorkshire's last surviving air spectacular, an event sponsored by the Evening Press at York.
The Red Arrows were the stars of the two-day Great Yorkshire Air Show over the former wartime Elvington Airfield outside York.

Must fly…But there were highlights galore at the 10th anniversary show including displays by jet-powered cars, a Tornado, Harrier, Spitfire and aerobatics teams thrilling the crowds with exciting display of aeronautical feats.
Evening Press editor Liz Page said: "It is the third year we have sponsored this event and it is the only great air show left in Yorkshire.
"People came from all over the country to see the spectacular over the Bank Holiday weekend - it is a brilliant marketing and branding opportunity for the paper."
