The Bristol Evening Post has a new lodger - and he's already got his own fan club.
The seagull chick has been living in the back garden of the Post's headquarters, on Temple Way, since "flying" the nest.
But instead of soaring skywards, the fearless bird plummeted, beak-first, to the ground.
Since then the chick - nicknamed Matthew after the ship which stands proudly outside the Post - has been living on the lawn, surviving on food flown in by his caring parents.
Post security guard Gareth Davies has been keeping an eye on the paper's latest recruit.
He said: "It's strange to see the bosses screech their cars to halt as the bird wanders across the entrance to our car park. He has become quite tame and doesn't seem frightened.
"I'm sure he will be strong enough to fly soon. He certainly seems very healthy, if a little bored.
"It will be a bit of shame when he leaves as he has plenty of fans here."
