Former South Wales Evening Post reporter Huw Rossiter is to be head of public affairs at the Independent Television Commission.

The journalist will join the London based-company to be head of press and publicity.

His role will involve managing the press office team to help accomplish the ITC's publicity plans.

The former Swansea University student worked for the Evening Post before moving to the BBC in London in 1982 as a publicity officer.

He later worked on TV documentaries and religious programmes.

In 1992 he moved to the BBC Cardiff for nine years.
