Seminar on 'publicity and children' in legal cases

The law surrounding publicity and children involved in legal proceedings is to be examined at a legal seminar later this month.

Coram Chambers is organising the event, which will host a critical examination of the law relating to children involved in legal proceedings.

Speakers experienced in different aspects of the subject will address delegates, who will comprise those involved in family and media law, as well as the media, social services and children's charities.

The two-hour seminar will take place at the Staple Inn, High Holborn, London, on Wednesday June 27 at 5.30pm.

It will be chaired by the Hon Mr Justice Munby, a judge of the Family Division of the High Court, and speakers will include: solicitor Mark Stephens, of Finers Stephens Innocent; Jane Held, social services director from Camden Council; Guy Black, director of the Press Complaints Commission; and Roger McCarthy QC, head of chambers at Coram Chambers.

Places cost £40 per delegate. Enquiries should be made to the organisers at 020 7849 4313.
