Improving the borough as a place to live is a subject that students involved in the Brentwood Schools Initiative are set to discuss.
The scheme, backed by the Brentwood Gazette, community groups and the borough council, has an annual presentation which will take place in March.
Students at schools around the area will look at issues including creating a healthy living centre, the prospect of a town square, using empty shops in the area for other purposes and developing more places for young people on the town forum.
Chairman of the Forum Coun David Kendall encouraged schools to send students to take part in the meeting, adding: "They are welcome because we do want some younger input."
The initiative means each school undertakes a project or series of projects aimed at making Brentwood a better place to live in terms of amenities and entertainment.
