A new website, with the latest news and views about Darlington FC, has been launched by the Northern Echo's website thisisthenortheast.co.uk

The new service aims to put the fans first, says the Echo's New Media Editor Sarah Andrews.

As well as having news and match reports from the newspaper there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to have their say.

Visitors can take part in a fan's forum, cast a vote on the stadium debate and even write for the website.

There are also plenty of background articles and a look back at last season.

Sarah said the site was launched in response to reader demand.

She said: "I received a lot of feedback from readers during a recent survey who all wanted to see more news from the Darlington football club.

"I hope fans will welcome the opportunity to have their say about their club and look forward to reading the contributions."
