Regional papers often fill pages with the exploits of locally-born celebrities.
But the Swindon Evening Advertiser has gone one better and created a website about teenage singing star of the moment Billie Piper.
The site charts her career from the moment she joined a theatre company at the tender age of six, through to joining the renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School in London before going on to sign her first record deal in 1998.
Billie was an overnight success. Her first single hit No. 1 in the charts on its release. She is also the youngest female singer to have three number one hits.
But she never forgets her roots and helped judge the Evening Advertiser’s Family Snapshot competition on one of her many visits back to her home town.
And she’s given an exclusive interview to Advertiser reporter Helen Moss for her fans.
The website’s home page declares: "In recognition of Billie Piper's third UK number one hit - Day & Night, the Swindon Evening Advertiser has created this web site as a tribute to one of the town's brightest young stars.
"Since Billie first came onto the pop scene in 1998 with her first two number one singles Because We Want To and Girlfriend she has consolidated her success and remained firmly in the public eye."
Previously, the paper has run pages off its main "This Is Wiltshire" site dedicated to Swindon model Melinda Messenger.
