The Evening News is giving Scarborough residents the chance to have their say on an issue which has gripped the town for months.
The paper revealed the extent of new parking plans in the town two months ago and was met with a wave of protest from the readers.
Council chiefs are now coming under pressure to hold a series of public meetings to debate Scarborough's controversial parking scheme after debate on the pages of the newspaper.
The paper revealed: "Seldom, if ever, has any single issue prompted such a response.
"The Evening News is your newspaper and we want to know what you think."
The new regulations - first revealed in the Evening News - mean many streets are now pay-and-display.
Streets outside the central area are controlled by discs which limit waiting to two or three hours, again depending on location.
Residents can buy a permit to give free all-day parking near their homes. There are other permits for businesses and hotel guests.
The council says the changes will cut congestion, pollution and boost parking availability.
Opponents claim the restrictions are unnecessary, expensive, and damaging to tourism, shops and businesses.
