PA Sport undergoes rebrand

The sports division of one of the UK's leading news agencies has been rebranded with a new name and website.

PA Sport is now called Press Association Sport and has updated its online presence to bring in line with its other websites.

The company says the new website pressassociation.com/sport includes enhanced product demonstrations and an upcoming events section detailing products and services for major sporting events among other additions.

The company will retain the PA Sport name for its operations in Asia and South Africa.

Press Association Sport's MD Ian Campbell said: "By changing our name and introducing a new website we aim to strengthen our brand identity among customers and effectively showcase our wide range of services and investment in digital products.

"PA Sport was a strong brand, so we have not cast it aside lightly, but in the UK and Ireland, the Press Association is widely recognised for its integrity and first-rate journalism.

"Our business is ingrained with the same 'fast, fair and accurate' values and we are rebranding as Press Association Sport to overtly reflect this fact and leverage these strengths."

What a revolutionary move! This should really make a huge difference. At least when other organisations "rebrand" they actually get a new name rather than using their full name instead of initials.
