Paper recruits Amanda Holden to wind farm campaign

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has joined a local campaign against wind farms after a call from a regional daily.

Knowing she used to own a home in the area, Eastern Daily Press reporter Annabelle Dickson rang Amanda's agent asking if she had any views on proposals for a seven-turbine farm in Norfolk.

Shortly afterwards she received an email back from Amanda who said she was "incensed" by the plans.

The TV star said: "I am absolutely appalled that this area of outstanding beauty is to be wrecked. I will be lending my full support."

More than 100 residents living in the villages surrounding the proposed site have lodged letters of objection to the plans.

The EDP's story revealing Amanda's support for the campaign was followed up by The Independent, The Mirror and The Sun.

Whoppee do...an overmade up woman of dubious "talents" is lending her support to the anti-wind farm movement...well that will kill off the project for sure...remind me again who she is and what critical illness she found a cure for / which area in the Middle East she brought peace to...mmmmnnn

Right behind Amanda Holden on this one. She's a very talented intelligent woman I think.Bright as they come. Back off you jealous females calling her of dubious talent. Can you dance sing act and yodel. Go girl go all these addle brained greens will wreck the world if no body apposes them.

Patricia - judging by the interesting English used in your comment (it is "nobody" rather than "no body" and use question marks when asking questions....), you've perhaps had a few too many sherbets...updating comments at 3am in the morning would certainly suggest a lack of appropriate judgement on your part. Get yourself to AA love and then you'll be in a much better position to make comments in the future.

Just to clarify Lily, HTFP is not constrained by UK timezones and peoplepost comments to the site at all hours of the day. The comment in question appears to have been sent from a southern hemisphere country.
