A memorial service is being held next month to celebrate the life of former Journalists' Charity chairman Bob Warren.
Bob, who spent 45 years with the News of the World, died last month aged 73 after battling cancer, just days after finishing his two-year spell as the charity's chairman.
The service starts at noon on 25 March at St Bride's Church, in Fleet Street, London. Attendance is by ticket only – anyone wish to go should e-mail memorial@notw.co.uk
Photographers looking for tips and advice can visit a new website.
Called PhotoTraining4u, it features videos of professionals at work covering a range of photographic subjects from to children along with using new computer software.
It is aimed at both amateur and professional photographers.
Newspapers have received a financial boost as the BBC has decided to stop charging for its TV listings.
From April, the royalty fees which papers currently pay to carry the schedules will be scrapped although charges will still apply for all other channels.
Third party agencies usually compile a complete set of listings across all TV channels and then supply them to papers for a charge.
The University of Kent has launched an annual scholarship in memory of broadcaster Bob Friend.
The winning student will have their tuition fess paid for the first year and enjoy a four-week placement with Sky News.
Mr Friend was brought up in Tunbridge Wells and started his journalism career with Tunbridge Wells Advertiser aged 15 and later worked for the West Kent News Agency, the BBC and Sky.
He died in October aged 70 after suffering a brain tumour.
