Key players in European student journalism team up for debate

Three key players in European student journalism are working together to debate the future of their craft.

The European Youth Press, the Brussels office of cafebabel.com and the Forum for European Journalism Students, with the support of the European Journalism Centre, have been involved in a conference on European Youth Journalism: where do we go from here?

The debate, in Brussels, included a panel comprising Journalist Maria Laura Franciosi, Joe Hennon, spokesperson for commissioner Margot Wallström, and Giuseppe Zaffuto, director of programmes at the European Journalism Centre and president of Journalists at Your Service.

The panel was moderated by Vanessa Witkowski, recently appointed Secretary General of the European Youth Press.

They examined the way changes job Europe are effecting changes in journalism and what skills are needed to help the writers do their jobs.
